No Saturday Practice

It seems that none of the Saturday morning regulars will be around Saturday morning so no practice.

Next Wednesday 10/21 is our final track practice 0f the year. We're going to do a fun relay. Let's all try to make it out then let's hit Baileys for some drinks and grilled cheese.
More details to follow.

Pub Crawl - November 7th.

I recently came across the TT&T site and am interested in trying to get back into running. I ran for a year and a half in college until injuries forced me out. I have a lofty goal of attempting the Chicago marathon next year and would need running partners to have any chance in doing so. That being said, where is the practice on Wednesday, I would like to come if I can and meet you guys.

Jason, You came to the right place - all practice locations are posted on this blog. We always meet Wednesday, most Saturday mornings and Tuesday evenings. We're having a short practice/relay race this coming Wednesday - you may want to start out coming on 10/28 - when we'll be doing a 6-8 mile run starting at 6:15 from somewhere in the Orland area. Check the blog for an update.

Ok, sounds good. I haven't been doing much running at all over the past few years, so 6-8 may be on the longer side for me, but that all depends on the pace. When I try running on my own I end up going too fast and crap out early...oh the curse of being a former 800 runner.

I'll start putting in some miles today and hopefully come the 28th I'll be able to hang for the 6-8.

Don't worry, there are plenty of us other former 800 meter guys/gals on the team.

Did anyone do the Urbanathlon this morn in Chi town?? It was my 1st time and it was a kick ass race. I recommend it and think next year TT&T needs to make a showing :)
