Workouts Week of 1/24

Here's the plan for this week. I know some of the locations are different than what's on the schedule but the recent snow storm made us change our plans.

Monday - Human Race - Run Starts at 6:30

Wednesday - Human Race - Run starts at 6:30. We will take a little break from our fartlek and do a 2 mile tempo in the middle of our long run.
Based on the recent snow we got this weekend Orland is a better/safer location than Tinley. As soon as the bike paths clear we will try to have a few practices from the Tinley Rec Center for a change of pace.

Saturday - Lincoln-Way East - run starts at 9:00. After the main practice we should have access to their indoor track for some additional miles, strides or even part of the workout if the weather dictates. Bring a change of clothes for more comfortable indoor running. Tim is coaching this workout.

We embark tommorrow at 9:00 Lincoln Way East. Meet in the main lobby. Be ready for anything - the snow will dictate the workout & route.

"The long run is what puts the tiger in the cat." - I seen this quote today and it's perfect for the type of training we're doing right now.

Josh Cox Survives Round 2, The BacheloretteSeven of the 15 guys are sent home, but 2:13 marathoner Cox hangs in there, making the final 8. On show, he declares: "I'm a lover and a warrior." Jen Schefft picks him last, hard to say if that has any meaning. He and the French guy, Fabrice, are obviously not getting along, but Fabrice also makes the cut (Note to Jen: Get real; Fabrice is sooo slimey.). Cox hasn't been getting much video time from ABC. We think that's a ruse. They might be trying to trick us.
