Methinks a time is coming when TTT will be able to field a team of Dark Side runners. Will this become the next club sub-culture?
That thought may be too sinister to contemplate.

What does a man profit if he gains a key tag and loses a toenail? The Dark Side giveth, and the Dark Side taketh away.
In my case, I think I'm done with this ultra stuff for a while. Maybe when my kids move out and I retire, I can pretend to be a "consultant" and spend all of my time growing callouses on my toes. In the meantime, I'll stick to the halves and less, with maybe an occasional 26.2-mile walk in the woods.
The trails were beautiful, the weather ran the gamut from sun to hail, and the hills just never stopped. At 5:13:53, I was 34/166 overall and 10/28 AG.
I'll see you guys when I can walk again.

John Spannath will be coming to town this week, and is planning on attending the Wednesday workout. Come out to greet our TTT West Coast Representative.

It was a tough race. First 30 i went out strong, stomach cramps for next 10 slowed me up, bounced back a little bit for next 10. I felt the tough pace I was on was due to speed workouts with TT&T, I was never breathing hard, yet I felt I was moving good. I finished at 9:14:11, 52/219, 10/34 AG. Thats a 1 hr 15 improvement over last year, if I had not cramped-up, mid to high 8:00 hrs. The weather was never a real issue, I was sweatting the whole time, so the rain & hail were a relief.

I ran several sections with Mike McDermit - He said Hey.

I plan to be at Swallow Cliff on Monday for an "easy" run, if anyone is willing to run slower, otherwise see you on the track on Wednesday.
