Congrats also to the Hoosier Legend, aka The Continental.

Rumor has it he won the Masters Division at some big Ultra shindig over the border recently.

Very nice performances by all our hard working Skulls at the Shamrock today.

Your extra efforts at Winter practices are really paying off. Keep your goals in mind and continue to stay motivated. You are getting some fine coaching.

Wanted to make an appearance this morning to support all of you, but had gotten stranded in Gilman, Il., on the way home from the Clinton Lake 30 Mile Trail Run.

Will share this amazing adventure when I see you. Certainly, it is another surprising episode to add to this runner's career.

Clinton Lake Ultra Results:
1st place Grandmaster Division(50-59 age group)
Course record - age group (4:57:20)
7th place overall - 95 finishers.
Extremely hilly and muddy course.
I am thankful.

Next up:
Ice Age 50 miler - then Pikes Peak.
I must confess, I truly seem to have been abducted by the "Dark Side."

Received a call from John Spannath Saturday morning. He is scheduled to leave for overseas any time, soon. Furthermore, he will be in a danger zone, so please keep him in your prayers.

Go Skulls!!

Great Job everyone, especially "THE HOOSIER LEGEND"!!!
I've had my cast off for one week and I have 2 more weeks until I can hopefully start running again. I can't wait! I just wish I wasn't going to be so far behind. Anyway, keep up the good work and hope to see you all soon!

Jim, Don't do it - let's run a 5K together this weekend. Once you go over to the other side - you'll never come back. You'll need to grow a long beard and you'll start making your own shoes. Don't do it.

Raymond,

You once went to a preparty and a Motley Crue concert with the Bad Boys of running and got a glimpse of the dark side that night. Play it safe and stick with the 50 milers. As Rich said, once you cross a line there's no going back. The true dark side you will not find on a running trail or course. But you can find it with one call to the Prince Of Darkness. Pray you never make that call.

According to Dave, then, this Dark Side must be Martini Blu?
