Meet at Little Red Schoolhouse at 8:00am on Saturday for a 14-15 mile run. The last long one for the marathoners. There will be a shorter run option available too.
Marathoners - run some of your miles at marathon race pace as yopu taper. It will get you used to that feeling.

Is there a way to mark off the miles at Little Red? If one is to keep track of their pace per mile, that's essential.
Rich, What about the non-marathon runners, seems like their all you care about in this club...
I would think that by now, the marathoners could go by time for each loop. One loop for a 7:45-8:00 pace should take about 55 minutes. This is the loop across the street from little red. Two loops with maybe an add on should do it. Remember that the Chicago course is FLAT. No need for heroic hills at this point. Good luck!!Non marathoners... time for some races on Saturdays.
Hey All
Planning on making it to run this Sat. i am in Chicago for the weekend. We'll see if all those SC hills/mountains have helped me any!
Looking forward to seeing you all.
Char
I love all runners equally....
The emphasis right now is on marathoners because that mainly who is coming to practice.
I will be glad to help, answer questions for any non-marathoners. I have been offering options for the non-marathoners at the workouts. With a little tweaking many of the workouts will benefit both groups.
Come talk to me if you want to focus on some other distances.
Rich
It is easy to feel left out this time of year if you are not running a marathon. As far as I can remember we have always tried to accomodate marathoners and non-marathoners alike.
Our Yasso workout at 1/2 mile park on Wednesday and our 1 mile workout a week ago Wednesday were workouts both groups can strongly benefit from for any race distance.
The key is to come out and run the workout at your pace the best you can. Use this forum or talk to Rich about something specific.
We have expansive experience among us not only for workouts, but injuries and nutrition as well. Diane G. is certified in the latter and has been very helpful in the past with hints.
So come out if you can fit it in your schedule. It was nice to see Shauna and Maureen recently, and Kevin is back. And thanks to Rick Miller for support at the 20 miler Sunday.
Your opinion is valid. Let's talk and see how we can help one another. We all win that way. Skulls!
See you Saturday.

Tim
We miss you Char!!!
I agree with Rich's comment that since the primary group of people making practices are marathoners the focus is on preparing them. I am not running the marathon and have still have gotten a lot out of the practices that I have made. I know there are some practices that are beyond my capabilities and I don't go to them.
