Spoke to Johnny Span tonight and he sends his best. The fires near San Diego grow/glow closer and he and family are ready to evacuate at a moments notice. He lives less than 2 miles from Qualcomm Stadium. There is some serious fire investigation regarding the start of the S.D. fires. One theory is they may have been caused by a blitzing trail runner burning up the trails at last weekends San Diego 100 Mile Endurance Run. Said runner posted an impresive 23 hours and 59 minutes, thus earning the coveted silver buckle. All this accomplished with a longest training distance of only 38 miles.

If John is 2 miles from Qualcomm, and everyone who is evacuating is going to Qualcomm for shelter, where do they go if they have to evacuate Qualcomm?
If tree catches fire in a forest and there is no one around to see it, did it really burn?
