It's a conditioning thing. I agree; the softer the surface, the better for the body. But, you need to condition your body to the surfaces that you will be running on. Swim in the pool all the time and then do a race in open water. Train on a treadmill, and then do a run with hills and wind. No comparison. Besides.............the Skullmaster knows best Darth
