Each year around this time there is a 5 mile race conducted in conjunction with the Valparaiso Popcorn Fest. Two of our distinguished Skull brothers have won this race. Herein are the details. J.R.

Steve, you are a need to know only basis. The race was held 9/11. I intentionally ommitted the date so as not to entice anyone to sign up for the Popcorn instead of the Scoot. My announcement was merely to acknowledge the accomplishment of a couple of old Skulls who seemingly maxed out before their time.
Get that Scoot R.D. to shift his race date by a day or week and bring a carload of Land of Lincoln runners to compete in Valpo for a very tough 5 mile race.
There is also team competition, and a highly competetive team in Valpo called The Ridge Runners. Taking them down in their own back yard could develop a signifigant rivalry. J.R.
